In order to promote the discipline construction of ophthalmology in Sichuan Province, standardize the diagnosis and treatment behavior, improve the academic level, and promote the academic exchanges in the field of ophthalmology at home and abroad, it was organized by Chengdu High-tech Medical Association. Co-organized by Sichuan Eye Hospital and Chengdu Aier Eye Hospital, the "Establishment Conference of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association Ophthalmology Special Committee and the first Chengdu International Academic Forum on Ophthalmology" was successfully held on July 21-22, 2022.

On the evening of July 21st, experts from major hospitals in and outside the province participated in the inaugural meeting of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association Ophthalmic Professional Committee through online and offline forms. After deliberation, the Congress democratically elected the Standing Committee, vice-chairmen, chairmen and chairman-designate of the Special Committee. Lin Fan, deputy secretary-general of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, attended the meeting online and delivered a speech.

Fan Yingchuan, the newly elected chairman of the committee, said: The establishment of the Professional Committee of Ophthalmology of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association provides an important platform for the majority of ophthalmology staff to exchange academic, scientific research and technology.
