In order to further promote the discipline construction of sleep medicine in our province and standardize the diagnosis and treatment behavior, improve the diagnosis and treatment level of sleep disorders in primary medical institutions and strengthen academic exchanges. On July 30, 2022, the founding conference and the first annual academic meeting of Sleep Medicine Branch of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association was successfully held. The meeting was hosted by Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and undertook by Chengdu First People's Hospital. The meeting was held online. From West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Chengdu First People's Hospital, Mianyang Central Hospital and other prominent figures from inside and outside the province attended the seminar.

On July 30th, medical staff from major hospitals in and outside the province engaged in otolaryngology, stomatology, respiratory, cardiology, pediatrics, anesthesiology and sleep diagnosis and treatment related fields attended the founding conference of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association Sleep Medicine Branch via online form. The assembly passed the deliberation and democratically elected the Standing Committee, vice chairmen, chairmen, and other leading groups of the Branch. Prof. Chen Hui from Chengdu First People's Hospital was elected as the chairman of the committee, Prof. Ou Shan, Prof. Li Wei, Prof. Qin Fang, Prof. Liu He, Prof. Zhang Yingju, Prof. Li Yangke, Prof. Zhou Li from Chengdu First People's Hospital and Prof. Zhao Yanli, Prof. Liu Xueliang and Prof. Chen Qin from Chongqing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were elected as the deputy chairmen. Ai He, deputy secretary-general of Chengdu Hi-tech Medical Association, attended the meeting online and delivered a speech.

This meeting, with the spirit of interdisciplinary integration and the purpose of promoting transformation at the grassroots level, discussed the rapid development of sleep medicine and other related fields. Under the leadership of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and with the joint efforts of all members, the chapter will actively organize and carry out the sleep medicine frontier forum and scientific popularization and publicity work. Jointly promote the construction and development of the discipline of sleep medicine in our province, and inject vitality for the sustainable development of sleep medicine.
