At present, fungal infections occupy an important proportion in many common diseases and complications in clinical practice. Fungal infections mainly include skin diseases, eye diseases, urogenital diseases, ear, nose and throat diseases and lung infections. In the recent period, some clinical cases of co-infection have also occurred in diseases such as cardiovascular diseases and AIDS. In recent years, with the wide application of corticosteroids, broad-spectrum antibiotics, immunosuppressants, etc., the incidence of opportunistic fungal infections and the detection rate of drug-resistant strains are showing an increasing trend. In order to improve the importance of fungal examination technology in clinical practice, promote the professional development of clinical laboratory, and strengthen the academic exchanges among hospitals, the "Clinical Fungal Examination Technology" training course jointly organized by the Clinical Laboratory Department of the Western Theater General Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and Chengdu High-tech Medical Association was successfully held online on November 11-12, 2023.
