In order to promote the development, personnel training and scientific and technological innovation of pancreatic science in Chengdu-Chongqing and some western regions, improve the level of people's health services, carry out academic research and exchanges related to pancreatic diseases, and promote the coordinated development of pancreatic disease-related majors, this study is sponsored by Chengdu High-tech Medical Association. The "First Establishment Conference and Academic Conference of Pancreatic Diseases Specialty Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association" hosted by the Department of Pancreatic Surgery of West China Hospital of Sichuan University and West China Shangjin Nanfu Hospital was held in Chengdu on December 24, 2023. The conference was held online and offline, and more than 110 experts in pancreatic diseases related fields from cloud, Guizhou, Sichuan, Chongqing and other regions were invited to attend the conference.
Professor Zhang Yi, head of the Preparatory Group of the Special Committee, reported the preparations of the special Committee to the conference. After deliberation, the General Assembly democratically elected the standing Committee members, deputy chairmen, chairman-in-waiting and the leading team of the chairman of the special Committee in accordance with the academic organization management methods of the high-tech Medical Association. Professor Zhang Zhaoda of West China Hospital of Sichuan University served as the consultant of the special Committee, and Professor Tian Bole of West China Hospital of Sichuan University served as the honorary chairman of the special committee. Professor Zhang Yi of West China Hospital of Sichuan University was elected Chairman of the Special Committee, and Professor Li Ang, Secretary of the Party Committee of West China Guangan Hospital of Sichuan University, was elected chairmandesignate of the Special Committee. Professor Zhang Yu of Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, Professor Guo Shixiang of Chongqing University, Professor Wu Yakun of Suining Central Hospital, Professor Yu Chao of Guizhou Medical University and Professor Cheng Ke of Sichuan University West China Hospital were elected deputy chairmen of the Special Committee.
