On April 27, 2024, the "Western ILD Special Committee Seminar (Chongqing Station)" hosted by Chengdu High tech Medical Association was successfully held and concluded at Chongqing Junhao Hotel.

As a platform for cooperation and exchange on interstitial lung disease, this conference has gathered more than 30 experts and scholars in the field of interstitial lung disease in Chongqing and the western region, conducting in-depth exchanges on the clinical application, hot issues, and cases of interstitial lung disease. This conference was hosted by Chengdu High tech Medical Association and invited experts and scholars from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University, First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, and University City Hospital of Chongqing Medical University to give wonderful academic presentations.

Firstly, Professor Tang Xiaokui from the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University delivered a speech at the conference, while Professor Jin Hong from West China Hospital of Sichuan University gave a brilliant speech on the future development and planning of interstitial lung disease. Subsequently, Professor Luo Qun from the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, Professor Zhang Jianqing from the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University, Professor Tang Xiaokui from the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, and Professor Jiang Yu from the University City Hospital of Chongqing Medical University brought wonderful academic sharing to the audience.

The meeting also invited Professor Dai Zhuowan from the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Professor Xiong Fu from the Southwest Affiliated Hospital of the Army Medical University, Professor Jin Hong from the West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Professor Chu Zhigang and Professor Li Xian from the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Professor Wu Yongchang from the Rongchang Hospital of Chongqing, and Professor Ren Cheng from the Fuling Hospital of Chongqing University to have exciting case discussions, focusing on clinical, imaging, and pathological aspects of case sharing. These cases and discussions not only demonstrate the clinical practice ability of healthcare workers, but also provide reference and inspiration for other healthcare workers.

This meeting promoted mutual learning and exchange among scholars in the sub field of interstitial lung disease. Experts and scholars gave speeches and discussions on various aspects of interstitial lung disease, summarized and exchanged new achievements and progress in the research and application of interstitial lung disease, and provided construction ideas for further applying new concepts, technologies, innovative medical service models, and improving the level of medical diagnosis and treatment of interstitial lung disease.
