In the world, China has the highest incidence and death rate of liver, esophageal and gastric cancers, which will reach 1.21 million newly diagnosed cases in 2020, accounting for two thirds of the world's total number of cases. The incidence of digestive tract cancers remains high, and the lesions are insidious and found to be in the middle and late stages, greatly reducing the survival rate. With the continuous exploration and breakthroughs in diagnostic and treatment modes, new researches continue to emerge, and the clinical data are endless, so that the doctors and patients can see more hope for treatment. How to recognize and effectively control the disease in the early stage is still the core issue for clinicians.
In this regard, the “2024 Gastrointestinal Tumor Middle-aged and Young Academic Forum” will be held on March 27, 2024, sponsored by Chengdu Hi-Tech Medical Association and co-sponsored by West China Hospital of Sichuan University.
