With the continuous development of medical technology and the continuous improvement of drug research and development level, the incidence of invasive mycosis is increasing year by year. In response to this challenge, the Multidisciplinary Exchange Meeting on New Ideas for Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment of IFD (8th Session), sponsored by Chengdu Hi-tech Medical Association, was successfully held online on August 19, 2024.

This meeting focused on the selection of clinical drugs and other issues, guided by clinical hot spots, aiming to help solve the worries of seeing a doctor in the region. The meeting invited experts in infection, severe disease, respiratory and other fields inside and outside the province to teach, and the content involved a wide range, close to clinical practice, with strong advancement, practicality and controllability. The experts shared the latest research results and clinical experience, and deeply discussed the new ideas of diagnosis and treatment of invasive fungal diseases. The grassroots doctors attending the meeting said that they not only broadened their horizons, but also learned a lot of practical clinical knowledge and benefited a lot.

The successful holding of the conference not only promoted the exchanges and cooperation between multiple disciplines, but also provided strong support for improving the medical level in the region and improving the diagnosis and treatment effect of patients. We look forward to more similar academic exchange activities in the future to contribute to the development of the medical cause.
