To further promote the academic development of vascular surgery in disease diagnosis and treatment, improve the relevant diagnosis and treatment levels and experience of peripheral vascular diseases, and drive regional healthcare development, the "First Vascular Surgery Committee Election and Academic Annual Conference of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and the 6th Vascular Surgery New Technology Seminar" was successfully held from March 29th to 30th, 2024, in Chengdu. The conference aimed to improve the diagnostic and treatment levels of primary healthcare professionals regarding vascular diseases, reduce misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis rates, enhance diagnostic accuracy, and improve patients' healthcare experience. More than 200 participants attended the event.

On the afternoon of March 29, 2024, the First Vascular Surgery Committee Election of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association was held in Chengdu.

First, according to the conference agenda, Director Wang Liang, the Chair of the First Vascular Surgery Committee, reported on the work of the first committee. Director Wang provided a thorough summary of the committee's work over the past three years, highlighting the significant achievements made under the guidance of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association. He expressed hope that the second committee would continue to make further progress and achieve even greater results.

Subsequently, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Chengdu High-tech Medical Association Constitution" and the "Chengdu High-tech Medical Association Academic Organization Management Measures," and with approval from the association's secretariat, the election for the second committee was conducted in strict adherence to the organizational procedures. A total of 126 members and 27 executive committee members were elected. Director Wang Liang from Chengdu Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital and Chengdu First People's Hospital will continue to serve as the Chair. The Vice Chairs are: Wang Jiantao from Xichang People's Hospital, Liu Wujun from Sichuan Baoshihua Hospital affiliated with North Sichuan Medical College, Li Hui from Chengdu Second People's Hospital, He Huqiang from the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University, Zhang Huamao from Dujiangyan People's Hospital, Kou Yangbin from Chengdu Xindu District Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, and Wang Junwei from Zigong Fourth People's Hospital.

Finally, Ai He, Vice President and Vice Secretary-General of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, remarked that the establishment of the Second Vascular Surgery Committee provides an important platform for strengthening regional resource cooperation and sharing. It also marks the vigorous development of the academic organizations within the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association. In the future, the association will continue to promote the development of vascular surgery as a discipline, standardize management, and play an active role in academic exchanges, improving professional capabilities, and research. He concluded by extending warm congratulations on the establishment of the Second Vascular Surgery Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association.

On March 30, 2024, the 4th Academic Annual Conference of the Second Vascular Surgery Committee officially opened. The opening ceremony was led by Professor Wang Liang, Chair of the Second Vascular Surgery Committee and a representative of the Vascular Surgery Department of Chengdu First People's Hospital. He extended a warm welcome to the attending leaders and colleagues on behalf of the Vascular Surgery Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and the Interventional Vascular Surgery Department of Chengdu First People's Hospital. He then introduced the composition of the committee and the development history of the department at his hospital. He firmly believed that with the establishment of the Second Vascular Surgery Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and through the collective efforts of all colleagues, the vascular surgery field would continue to thrive and develop further.

Subsequently, Shen Liujing, a leader from Chengdu Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital and Chengdu First People's Hospital, delivered a speech. She first extended warm congratulations on the establishment of the Second Vascular Surgery Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and expressed sincere gratitude to the experts and leaders for their continuous care and support for the hospital. She believed that the establishment of the Second Vascular Surgery Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association would undoubtedly promote the further development of vascular surgery both within and outside the region, benefiting more patients.

Ai He, Vice President and Vice Secretary-General of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, delivered the conference speech. In his address, he encouraged young and mid-career vascular surgery professionals to make the most of this rare opportunity for exchange. He urged them to seek guidance from experts and scholars on their experiences and challenges in medical practice, fostering sincere and pragmatic discussions from multiple perspectives. He emphasized that this conference should serve as a platform to gather valuable insights, academic resources, and talented individuals, broaden horizons, strengthen friendships, and collectively contribute wisdom and strength to the development of the vascular surgery field.
