To enhance the cultivation of professionals in minimally invasive techniques, improve the minimally invasive surgical skills of grassroots doctors, and promote the application of minimally invasive techniques in grassroots hospitals, thereby reducing postoperative complications and facilitating patients' early recovery, the municipal medical continuing education project "General Surgery Minimally Invasive Technology Seminar (Project Number: C24-01-104010235)" was successfully held at Chengdu BOE Hospital on April 20, 2024, hosted by Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and organized by Chengdu BOE Hospital.

The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Deputy Director Nie Bin of the General Surgery Center of Chengdu BOE Hospital. Vice President and Deputy Secretary-General of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association Ai He, Vice President Han Yuping of Chengdu BOE Hospital, and Director Zhao Tiejun of the General Surgery Center of Chengdu BOE Hospital attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

This training session invited renowned experts and scholars from both within and outside the province to expound on the progress of minimally invasive treatment in hernia and abdominal wall surgery, treatment strategies for liver metastasis of colorectal cancer, and peri-midline anatomy of the liver and midline-crossing liver resection from various perspectives. The content was rich and each expert's lecture was very detailed, sharing their experience with everyone.

This training aims to continuously improve the professional technical level and ability of medical workers engaged in gastrointestinal surgery, hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, hernia and abdominal wall surgery and other general surgery related professionals. It is hoped that participants can further learn by sharing the knowledge of the conference, combine the characteristics and actual conditions of medical institutions, continue to deepen the knowledge content, and flexibly apply it to practical work.
