Ankylosing spondylitis (AS, also known as radiographic positive axial spondyloarthritis, r-axSpA) is a chronic inflammatory disease that primarily affects the sacroiliac joints, spine, and peripheral joints. In severe cases, spinal deformities and rigidity can occur. Genetic, stress, infection, social, and lifestyle factors can affect the occurrence of atherosclerosis. The prevalence of AS in China is 0.29%, and based on the overall population, it is estimated that there are nearly 4 million AS patients. As the threat of AS to population health becomes increasingly prominent, its diagnosis and treatment have also received widespread attention from various sectors of society. In order to enhance public health awareness and disease awareness, the Chengdu High tech Medical Association successfully held the third phase of the multi hospital MDT exchange meeting offline on December 11, 2024. The meeting focused on interdisciplinary exchanges on the research progress of AS.
