On January 14, 2025, Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association was entrusted by Chengdu High-Tech District Health and Health Bureau to successfully complete the selection and evaluation of the clinical key specialties construction project. The review was aimed at implementing the relevant requirements of the National Health and Health Commission on promoting the construction of key clinical specialties, and further enhancing the specialized service capacity and disciplinary influence of the hospitals in the high-tech zone. The evaluation expert group, composed of many well-known experts from the province and city, conducted a comprehensive and detailed evaluation of the declared specialties in strict accordance with the “Chengdu Hi-tech Zone Clinical Key Specialties Construction Project Selection and Evaluation Standards”, from the comprehensive strength of the hospital, hospital management, specialty construction and service, talent team construction, professional influence and other dimensions.

Wu Bosheng, deputy director of the Health Department of Chengdu Hi-tech District Health and Wellness Bureau, and Ai He, vice president and deputy secretary general of Chengdu Hi-tech Medicine, attended the evaluation meeting. Wu Bosheng, deputy director, pointed out that the review should be based on a fair and objective point of view of a number of units of the declaration materials in accordance with the requirements of the review, high-tech zone health will take the review as an opportunity to continue to increase the support for key specialties, optimize the layout of the discipline, and promote the construction of specialties to a higher level. During the evaluation process, the expert group listened to the report, reviewed the information and exchanged views, etc., in-depth understanding of the current situation of the construction of the specialties, development potential and existing problems, and put forward valuable guidance and suggestions.

The evaluation is not only a comprehensive test of the construction achievements of each specialty, but also provides an important reference for the development of hospital disciplines. Through the evaluation, each specialty further clarifies its own advantages and shortcomings, and points out the direction for the next step of improvement and enhancement. In the future, the hospital should strengthen the construction of specialized talents, introduce high-level talents and train young backbones to create a reasonable structure and skilled professional team; encourage the specialties to carry out technological innovation and scientific research, focusing on improving the ability of diagnosis and treatment of difficult and serious diseases, and promote the in-depth fusion of clinical and scientific research, in order to strive for breakthroughs in the construction of key specialties at the national and provincial levels. In addition, the hospital should give full play to the radiation-driven role of key specialties, promote the sinking of high-quality medical resources through the construction of medical consortiums, telemedicine collaboration, etc., to enhance the capacity of regional health care services, and better meet the health needs of the people.
