On March 1, 2025, the "Chuannan Urology Academic Conference and Southwest Medical University Affiliated Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital Urology Specialty Alliance Conference" was successfully held in Luzhou. This conference is jointly organized by the Chengdu High tech Medical Association and the Affiliated Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Southwest Medical University. It brings together numerous experts and scholars from the urology field in southern Sichuan and both inside and outside the province to explore cutting-edge technologies and development trends in urology. The aim is to promote the improvement of regional urology diagnosis and treatment level and the development of the discipline.

In the academic exchange session, several well-known urology experts in the province gave wonderful special lectures. The lecture covers multiple hot topics such as precision treatment of urinary system tumors, application and progress of minimally invasive surgical techniques, and prevention and treatment strategies for urinary system stones. Experts combined their rich clinical experience with the latest research results to explain their views and insights in a simple and understandable way, bringing cutting-edge academic information and practical clinical experience to the participants. Among them, the demonstration of the application of new minimally invasive surgical techniques such as da Vinci robot assisted surgery in complex cases of urology has attracted widespread attention and heated discussions among the attendees. Everyone exchanged and interacted with experts on surgical techniques, postoperative complication management, and other issues, and the academic atmosphere reached a climax on site. The case discussion session was equally exciting and diverse. The attending representatives engaged in in-depth discussions around several complex and difficult urological cases collected in advance. Each case discussion is led by a doctor who provides a detailed introduction to the condition and preliminary diagnosis and treatment plan. Subsequently, attending experts analyze and comment from different perspectives, proposing their own diagnosis and treatment ideas and suggestions. Everyone expressed their own opinions and discussed the best treatment plan together, which not only broadened the clinical thinking of young doctors, but also provided multidimensional references for solving practical clinical problems, further enhancing the participants' comprehensive analysis and processing ability for difficult cases.

This conference also specially set up a showcase and exchange session for the development achievements of the Urology Department Alliance of the Affiliated Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Southwest Medical University. The leader of the alliance reviewed the achievements made in discipline construction, talent cultivation, and technology promotion since its establishment, and introduced the future work plan and development direction. Representatives from various member units of the alliance also took the stage to share their practical experience and insights after joining the alliance, showcasing the cooperation achievements such as remote consultation, academic exchange, and technical assistance carried out through the alliance platform, fully reflecting the important role of the specialized alliance in promoting regional medical resource sharing and advancing the development of grassroots urology.
