To promote the development of neurology and strengthen academic exchange and collaboration, the "2025 Western Hospital Management and Pharmaceutical Innovation Development Conference & The Second Academic Conference of the Neurology Committee" was successfully held in Chengdu from April 18 to 19, 2025. The conference was hosted by the Chengdu Hi-Tech Medical Association and organized by West China Shangjin Hospital of Sichuan University and Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital. Renowned experts in the field of neurology from across the region were invited to deliver specialized academic reports, focusing on cutting-edge technologies and clinical practices. Topics included the management of epilepsy comorbidities, post-stroke cognitive impairment, neuroimmune diseases, and the application of artificial intelligence in medicine, attracting over 100 experts and scholars.

I. Neurology Committee Plenary Meeting and Youth Forum

On the 18th, the Second Plenary Meeting of the Neurology Committee of the Chengdu Hi-Tech Medical Association was held.

The meeting began with a report by Professor Yan Bo, Chairman of the Neurology Committee of the Chengdu Hi-Tech Medical Association and a professor at West China Hospital of Sichuan University, summarizing the committee's work in 2024 and outlining plans for 2025. Professor Yan mentioned that in 2024, the committee successfully held its annual academic conference and completed the transition of the Youth Committee. This year's plans include organizing free medical consultations and rural outreach activities, as well as preparing clinical research projects.

Next, Comrade Lü Zhiyu, Head of the Party Working Group of the Neurology Committee and representative from the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University, led all committee members in a Party lecture titled "Exploration and Practice of Integrating Party Work with Clinical Departments." Comrade Lü emphasized the need to use institutional innovation and resource integration as key drivers to achieve comprehensive hospital development under Party leadership.

Subsequently, Ai He, Vice President and Deputy Secretary-General of the Chengdu Hi-Tech Medical Association, delivered concluding remarks. Deputy Secretary-General Ai highlighted the association’s achievements in nurturing young experts, rural revitalization and public science initiatives, and clinical research projects. He expressed gratitude to all experts for their contributions to the committee and reaffirmed the association’s commitment to providing a platform for academic exchange and the transformation of scientific achievements across various disciplines.

The session concluded with an academic segment of the Youth Forum, where experts delivered insightful presentations showcasing the innovative thinking of young neurology scholars in managing complex diseases, offering valuable references for grassroots clinical practice.

II. Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony on the 19th began with an opening speech by Professor Yan Bo from West China Hospital of Sichuan University. This was followed by remarks by Xue Fan, Supervisor of the Chengdu Hi-Tech Medical Association and Vice President of West China Shangjin Hospital of Sichuan University. President Xue stated: "The Chengdu Hi-Tech Medical Association is committed to independent innovation and building a collaborative platform for specialized medical development. Since its establishment in 2020, the Neurology Committee has brought together numerous experts, making outstanding contributions to the standardized development and high-quality advancement of neurology. This conference delves into cutting-edge technologies, case analyses, and other hot topics, aiming to foster academic progress and elevate the standards of medical services."

The second day of the conference featured in-depth discussions on the latest trends and advancements in neurology, with a strong emphasis on clinical applications, technological innovations, and research findings.
