To carry forward the spirit of Florence Nightingale, popularize health knowledge and enhance public health literacy, on the occasion of the "5·12" International Nurses Day, the Health and Family Planning Bureau of Chengdu High-tech Zone, the Nursing Quality Control Sub-center of Chengdu High-tech Zone, the First People's Hospital of Chengdu and the Guixi Community Health Service Center of Chengdu High-tech Zone jointly held a health science popularization event on "5·12" International Nurses Day. The theme of this free medical consultation was "Jointly Promoting Health Science Popularization and Smartly Initiating the Road to Health". This event attracted many residents to participate, setting off a wave of enthusiasm for learning health knowledge.

At the event site, a volunteer team composed of medical staff from Chengdu First People's Hospital, Guixi Community Health Service Center of High-tech Zone, and various medical institutions within the district brought residents a unique health science popularization feast through a variety of rich and diverse forms. Multiple science popularization exhibition areas were set up, covering multiple fields such as common disease prevention, first aid skills, chronic disease management, traditional Chinese medicine health preservation, traditional Chinese medicine nursing, stoma care, continuing care, and children's care. The medical staff used simple and understandable language, combined with vivid and illustrative cases and models, to explain various health knowledge to the residents in a clear and easy-to-understand manner.

In the first aid skills exhibition area, the volunteers demonstrated practical first aid skills such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the spot, invited residents to come up and perform simulated operations, and guided them step by step on the key points of the actions, enabling the residents to truly master life-saving skills in critical moments.

At the event site, residents actively participated and learned more health knowledge in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, further deepening their understanding of a healthy lifestyle. Through this activity, not only was the professional demeanor of the nursing staff in the field of health science popularization fully demonstrated, but it also effectively promoted the entry of health knowledge into communities and families, enhancing residents' health awareness and self-care ability.
