As China enters a new phase in metabolic disease prevention and control, hypertension and diabetes have become key chronic diseases of national concern. Hosted by the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association on April 26, 2025, this symposium specifically focused on optimizing dual-target strategies for blood pressure and glucose control, systematically analyzing the effects of various antihypertensive agents on glucose metabolism and their individualized selection principles for diabetic patients.

The conference innovatively proposed a "dual-target coordinated control" management model integrating ambulatory blood pressure monitoring with continuous glucose monitoring technology, while establishing differentiated management pathways for special populations such as elderly patients and pregnant women. By creating this multidisciplinary exchange platform, the symposium provided crucial references for standardizing the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension-diabetes comorbidity. It offered particularly practical solutions for primary healthcare institutions to implement early screening and long-term follow-up management, which will significantly enhance China's comprehensive prevention and control capabilities for metabolic disorders.
