In order to thoroughly implement the national decision and deployment on promoting the development of medical and elderly care integration, explore innovative paths for medical and elderly care integration services in the new era, and promote the deep integration of medical resources and elderly care services, the Chengdu High tech Medical Association held the "Chengdu High tech Medical Association Community Health Special Committee Respiratory Chronic Disease Grassroots Management Pulmonary Rehabilitation Training Course and Medical and Elderly Care Integration Innovation Service Model Exchange Meeting" in Chengdu on April 24, 2025. The conference invited experts from the fields of chronic respiratory diseases and medical care integration to give special academic presentations. More than 100 delegates participated in the grand event.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Wang Xin, Chief Health Expert and Chairman of the Community Health Committee of Chengdu High tech Medical Association. She first warmly welcomed the attending leaders, experts, and representatives. Yang Ling, Deputy Director of the Health Development Center of the Health Bureau of Chengdu High tech Zone, delivered a speech, stating that the management of chronic respiratory diseases has become a key and difficult point in grassroots medical and health services. At the same time, how to promote innovation in the integrated medical and elderly care service model, and achieve precise alignment between medical resources and elderly care needs, is an important issue in the national health strategy. The purpose of this conference is to enhance the professional abilities of grassroots medical personnel and explore more efficient and inclusive health service paths through academic exchanges and experience sharing. And put forward three hopes: first, adhere to the grassroots as the foundation and consolidate the function of a healthy "net bottom"; Secondly, consolidate innovative consensus and promote the deep integration of medical care and elderly care; Thirdly, strengthen cooperation and jointly paint a picture of healthy people's livelihood.

Shan Qingqing analyzed the current situation and challenges of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease management in China, and delved into the existing problems. Zhang Yifan elaborates on the application of traditional Chinese medicine in chronic respiratory diseases, bringing a traditional medical perspective. Yang Guifang explains pulmonary rehabilitation assessment tools and techniques, providing professional guidance.
The afternoon meeting revolved around the integration of medical care and elderly care. Zhang Shumin shared his practical experience and reflections on the integration of medical care and elderly care services, which sparked in-depth thinking among attendees on service models. Mei Yan explores the model of integrated medical and elderly care in the community, providing reference for community nursing practice. Zhong Wen analyzed the current situation and future thinking of the quality of primary healthcare in Chengdu, and looked forward to the development direction. Li Bo explained the health management standards for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and clarified the management direction.
This conference has provided a platform for grassroots medical practitioners to learn and exchange ideas, promoting the development of grassroots management of respiratory chronic diseases and integrated medical and elderly care services.
