To accelerate the high-quality development of the wound and stoma care discipline within the region, enhance the standardization, professionalization and intelligence of wound and stoma care services, promote the downward flow of high-quality care resources, and provide patients with more standardized, high-quality and continuous care services. The founding Conference of the Wound and Ostomy Care Specialized Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and the First Academic Conference, hosted by Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and organized by Chengdu Third People's Hospital, was successfully held in Chengdu from May 23rd to 24th, 2025.

On the afternoon of May 23rd, over 70 experts in the field of wound and stoma care from major hospitals in Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan and Chongqing participated in the founding conference of the Wound and Stoma Care Specialized Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association both online and offline. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Charter" and "Academic Organization Management Measures" of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, the conference passed the review and democratically elected the first leadership team of the special committee, including the standing committee members, chairperson, vice-chairperson, etc. Professor Zhan Dafang from Chengdu Third People's Hospital was elected as the chairperson. At the meeting, the first functional Party group of the Wound and Stoma Care Special Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association was established.
