The Fifth Academic Conference of the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association's General Practice Committee, co-organized by Sichuan University West China Hospital and the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, and co-hosted by the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association's General Practice Committee, Sichuan University Wangjiang Hospital, Chengdu Jincheng Community Health Service Center, Sichuan Tianfu New Area Zhengxing Community Health Service Center, and Chengdu Longquanyi District Longhua Community Health Service Center, was successfully held in Chengdu on May 24,2025. Over 180 experts attended the conference in person.
The conference brought together authoritative experts to discuss topics such as the development of general practice, enhancing the professional skills of general practitioners, enriching the content of general practice, and improving the diagnosis and treatment of obesity and metabolic diseases among general practitioners.
The conference aimed to enhance the core competitiveness of the industry, foster new business models and service forms in health care, and create a platform for integrating high-quality resources and accelerating innovative collaboration.
Secretary Song Ye of Wangjiang Hospital, Sichuan University, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. She first extended warm congratulations on the successful opening of the Fifth Academic Conference of the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association's General Practice Committee.
Yang Li, Director of the Health Promotion Department of the Sichuan Provincial Health Commission, was invited to attend and gave a speech.
Subsequently, under the participation and witness of numerous leaders and guests, the Fifth Academic Annual Meeting of the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association's General Practice Committee was successfully opened.
The conference was fortunate to invite experts and scholars in the field of general practice to deliver insightful speeches.
In the second half of the conference, the work report of the second session of the General Practice Committee was presented, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the 'Chengdu High-tech Medical Association Charter' and the 'Chengdu High-tech Medical Association Academic Organization Management Measures.'
The meeting announced the recommendations for new vice-chairmen and standing committee members, with 1 vice-chairman and 4 standing committee members being elected.
Following this, Professor Su Qiaoli, the chairman, delivered a term work report, summarizing the various activities conducted by the committee, which received unanimous recognition from all committee members.
Immediately after, the 'Respiratory Workshop' and the 'Weight Management Workshop' ignited the audience, with experts and scholars exploring new practices in health management.
Many attendees commented that the workshops were 'supported by cutting-edge academic research and offered practical guidance,' and they found them highly beneficial!
The successful hosting of this conference reflects the trend towards 'precision and specialization' in the health promotion efforts of general practice. In the future, such platforms for practical exchange will continue to be developed, promoting the benefits of health management to a broader population.
At the end of the conference, the special committee invited the participating experts to visit our beautiful campus of Sichuan University, which drew a perfect conclusion to the conference.
