Currently, the prevention and control of diabetes in our country face significant challenges: over 140 million people suffer from diabetes, yet the diagnosis rate is less than 50%, and only 15.8% meet the blood glucose control standards.

To tackle this public health challenge, the 'Rui Ze Huaxia' Comprehensive Diabetes Management Improvement Project, organized by the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, was held in Nanchong, Sichuan on May 18,2025, with an expert grassroots academic conference.

" Diabetic patients in China commonly face three major challenges: difficulty in diagnosis, treatment, and achieving target levels.

Experts noted that, especially at the grassroots level, there is an urgent need to enhance the standardization of medical practices and patient education.

What we need most are practical blood glucose control plans and experience in managing complications.

To address these issues, the conference included a special session for discussing real cases with challenging points. During the lively discussion, experts and scholars engaged in deep discussions on the pain points and innovative approaches in grassroots diabetes management.

Several doctors actively shared their insights, highlighting the practical challenges they encounter in clinical practice.

The conference stressed that "only by sinking quality resources can we change the current situation of overcrowded hospitals and idle capacity in grassroots institutions.
