With the changes in modern lifestyles and the intensification of population aging, the incidence of metabolic diseases has been rising year by year. Dyslipidemia, hyperglycemia, and hypertension, known as the "three highs" of chronic diseases, not only individually harm health but also frequently coexist as comorbidities, mutually exacerbating conditions and posing severe challenges to patients' quality of life and long-term prognosis. The 8th edition of the symposium "Dyslipidemia, Hyperglycemia, and Hypertension from a Population-Wide Perspective: Management and Challenges of Comorbidities," hosted by the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association, was successfully held on May 25, 2025.
This symposium focused on the complexity of comorbidity management and the necessity of multidisciplinary collaboration, providing a platform for in-depth exchanges among clinicians, researchers, and public health experts. By sharing the latest research findings, diagnostic and treatment experiences, and practical case studies, the event facilitated a deeper understanding of the mechanisms underlying comorbidities and explored more precise individualized treatment strategies and comprehensive management approaches. Additionally, the symposium aimed to raise public awareness of chronic disease comorbidities, promote early screening, diagnosis, and standardized treatment, thereby alleviating the burden on healthcare systems, improving patients' quality of life, and contributing professional expertise to the implementation of the Healthy China strategy.
