To further enhance the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases at the grassroots level, to keep medical professionals informed about the latest advancements and developments in respiratory diseases, and to promote academic exchanges in the respiratory field, the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and Chengdu Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital (Chengdu First People's Hospital) jointly organized the New Advances in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Difficult and Rare Respiratory Diseases, the Chen Yunfeng Famous Doctor Studio Training Class, and the Fifth Academic Annual Meeting of the Respiratory Committee of the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, which was successfully held in Chengdu from May 23 to 24,2025.
This conference brought together many experts and scholars in the field of respiratory medicine, clinicians and related practitioners to discuss the cutting-edge progress of diagnosis and treatment of difficult and rare diseases of the respiratory system, and built a high-end academic exchange platform for improving the level of diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases.

He then introduced that the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at Chengdu Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital has been established for over 50 years. It is a national regional TCM lung disease diagnosis and treatment center, a key specialty of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a key specialty of Sichuan Province and Chengdu City, and a provincial and municipal TCM lung disease quality control center.
