Chronic diseases are a type of illness that seriously threatens the health of Chinese residents and have become a major public health issue affecting the country's economic and social development. The occurrence and prevalence of chronic diseases are closely related to economic, social, demographic, behavioral and environmental factors. With the continuous acceleration of industrialization, urbanization and population aging in our country, the impact of residents' lifestyles, ecological environment and food safety conditions on health has gradually emerged. The number of people suffering from, falling ill and dying from chronic diseases is constantly increasing, and the burden of chronic diseases on the masses is becoming increasingly heavy. The comprehensiveness and complexity of the influencing factors of chronic diseases determine the long-term and arduous nature of the prevention and treatment tasks, with the management of cardiovascular chronic diseases being particularly prominent. Therefore, the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases is an important part. To further enhance the comprehensive prevention and treatment level of cardiovascular diseases in China and implement the relevant requirements of the "Healthy China Initiative (2019-2030)" for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, The Conference on Standardized Diagnosis, Treatment and Management of Cardiovascular Chronic Diseases in General Practitioners, hosted by the High-tech Medical Association, was successfully held online on April 29, 2025, to enhance the standardized diagnosis, treatment and management of cardiovascular chronic diseases among general practitioners at the grassroots level.
