In order to promote the high-quality development of cancer diagnosis and treatment, disseminate the latest achievements and concepts in the field of cancer prevention and treatment, and provide higher level medical services to cancer patients, the 2025 "Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment, Exploring Progress Together" academic lecture (Xichang Station) was successfully held in Xichang City on May 18, hosted by Chengdu High tech Medical Association, organized by Chengdu High tech Medical Association Oncology Special Committee, and co organized by Chengdu Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital and Liangshan Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital.
The theme of this academic lecture tour is "Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment, Exploring Progress Together". Professor Duan Ping from Chengdu Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital and Professor Zhou Xiaorong from Liangshan Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital delivered opening speeches as the conference chairs. They warmly welcomed and sincerely thanked the attendees, emphasizing the importance of improving diagnosis and treatment techniques and enhancing service capabilities through this academic lecture. They pointed out the main theme of improving cancer diagnosis and treatment service levels through standardized management of cancer pain and sharing of cancer treatment technology progress.
Firstly, Professor Duan Ping from Chengdu Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital presented a lecture on "Standardized Management of Cancer Pain in China Based on Clinical Practical Problems". Professor Duan Ping conducted an in-depth longitudinal and transverse comparative analysis of the current situation of cancer in China and its comparison with developed countries, as well as the shortcomings, causes, and easily overlooked points in the standardization of cancer pain diagnosis and treatment using medical opioid drugs in China. She also put forward targeted suggestions.
Secondly, Professor Zhou Xiaorong from Liangshan Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital gave an academic exchange on the research progress of small cell lung cancer. Professor Zhou Xiaorong conducted an in-depth analysis of the latest research achievements and future directions of limited stage, initial treatment extensive stage, recurrent/refractory small cell lung cancer (LS-SCLC).
Subsequently, Professor Wang Jian from Liangshan First People's Hospital, Professor Zhu Wenjian from Liangshan Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital, Professor Liao Changsheng from Ningnan County People's Hospital, and Professor Cao Lei from Qingbaijiang District People's Hospital shared their relevant experiences and put forward constructive suggestions based on the actual situation of their own hospitals, focusing on the current situation of cancer in Sichuan and the latest research and application results of small cell lung cancer.
Afterwards, Professor Peng Xiaodong from the Second People's Hospital of Chengdu conducted a research sharing on the progress of ADC treatment for advanced urothelial carcinoma. Professor Peng Xiaodong analyzed and proposed that advanced urothelial carcinoma has entered the era of new ADC therapy, ADC combined with PD-1 inhibitors is currently the first-line and future research and development focus for advanced urothelial carcinoma, and ADC provides new treatment options for advanced UC patients treated with platinum based chemotherapy and/or immunotherapy.
Once again, Professor Li Zhengguang from Chengdu Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital gave a report on the interpretation of the 2025 CSCO Guidelines for Thrombocytopenia Caused by Cancer Treatment. Professor Li Zhengguang conducted in-depth analysis and explanation on the diagnosis, treatment, secondary prevention, precautions, prognosis, and outcome of CTIT, and put forward corresponding suggestions.
Subsequently, Professor Zeng Zhaoyun from Dechang County People's Hospital, Professor Zhou Li from Liangshan First People's Hospital, Professor Luo Dan from Liangshan Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital, and Professor Wang Lihong from Chengdu Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital shared their experiences and difficulties in the treatment of advanced urothelial carcinoma (ADC) and CSCO CTIT in our hospital.
Finally, Professor Duan Ping from Chengdu Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital and Professor Zhou Xiaorong from Liangshan Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital summarized the meeting. They fully affirmed the positive achievements of this lecture tour, emphasized the importance of using the latest technological means and standardized management in cancer diagnosis and treatment, encouraged participants to strengthen learning, exchange and application in clinical practice, promote the improvement of cancer diagnosis and treatment level and service ability, and look forward to more academic exchange activities in the future.
