To advance the development of clinical pharmacy in the ethnic regions of Liangshan Prefecture and strengthen the exchange of knowledge and practices related to clinical pharmacy across medical institutions at all levels, this initiative provided an essential platform for healthcare professionals to continuously update their pharmaceutical knowledge and enhance their capabilities in drug management and rational clinical drug use. Jointly organized by the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association and the First People's Hospital of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, the "Grassroots Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) Evaluation and Research Base Selection and Guidance Training Workshop" (Project No.: 25-019-13010631) was successfully held on August 24, 2025, in Xichang City.
As a multi-ethnic region, Liangshan Prefecture exhibits unique characteristics in medication habits, drug supply, and the distribution of medical resources. Conducting such training sessions plays a targeted role in strengthening grassroots healthcare workers' professional knowledge and practical skills in rational drug use, adverse drug reaction monitoring, and the integration of traditional ethnic medicine with modern medical practices. This effectively reduces medical risks associated with improper medication and improves the overall quality of treatment. Moreover, by consistently disseminating the latest pharmaceutical knowledge and policy guidance, the program contributes to the homogenization and standardization of medical services in ethnic regions, reinforces the development of regional pharmaceutical talent, and provides significant impetus for fortifying the health infrastructure in these areas, thereby driving high-quality advancement in medical and health services.
