Primary glomerulonephritis is a common clinical kidney disease characterized by complex etiology and diverse types, including IgA nephropathy, membranous nephropathy, minimal change disease, and focal segmental glomerulosclerosis. Its pathogenesis is not yet fully understood, and the disease progresses slowly but is prone to recurrence. Without timely intervention, it can lead to chronic renal failure. Due to differences in pathological types, varied clinical presentations, and significant individual variations in treatment responses, the precise diagnosis and treatment of primary glomerulonephritis require the support of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach. To further enhance the diagnosis and treatment level of primary glomerulonephritis in the region and promote multidisciplinary exchange and collaboration among nephrology, pathology, imaging, immunology, and other disciplines, the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association has decided to hold a series of multidisciplinary discussions (MDT) on clinical cases of primary glomerulonephritis from September to November 2025.

This series of meetings will invite renowned experts in the field of nephrology from both domestic and international backgrounds to engage in in-depth discussions on classic clinical cases, diagnostic and treatment approaches for challenging cases, comprehensive analysis of pathology and imaging, and cutting-edge diagnosis and treatment technologies. The goal is to help clinicians improve diagnostic accuracy and personalized treatment levels. It aims to break through the limitations of traditional single-discipline diagnosis and treatment by integrating the professional expertise of multiple disciplines to collectively address this disease, which is characterized by complex etiology, diverse clinical presentations, and difficult treatment decisions. The fundamental purpose is to enhance the quality of diagnosis and treatment, ensuring that each patient receives a precise and personalized treatment plan based on the latest evidence and tailored to individual circumstances, thereby improving long-term outcomes. This series of meetings is not only a platform for resolving challenging cases but also a continuous melting pot for academic exchange and talent development. It fosters deep understanding and collaboration among different disciplines, promotes the standardization and innovation of clinical practice, and ultimately establishes a modern medical model centered on patients, scientific decision-making, and collaborative diagnosis and treatment, driving the entire discipline forward.
