August 30-31, 2025 Co-hosted by the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association and Chengdu Hospital of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine Organized by the Chengdu High-Tech Zone Anesthesia Quality Control Sub-Center and Chengdu Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital This conference featured a rich academic atmosphere, with lectures covering core areas and cutting-edge developments in perioperative management. Through engaging presentations, experts shared invaluable practical experience and standardized protocols, providing crucial guidance for ensuring patient safety during complex surgeries. Keeping pace with technological advancements, the conference proactively explored application scenarios and future challenges of artificial intelligence in anesthesiology. Regarding pain management, experts delved into standardized protocols for acute perioperative pain, introduced novel techniques like ultrasound-guided precision analgesia, and uniquely featured a session on integrated Chinese and Western pain treatment. This session explored interdisciplinary pain management models alongside modern clinical applications and scientific mechanisms of acupuncture and buccal acupuncture, offering diverse and innovative approaches to pain diagnosis and treatment that significantly broadened attendees' clinical perspectives.

The subsequent hands-on workshop sessions elevated the conference atmosphere to new heights. Expert instructors stepped down from the podium to conduct step-by-step dissections and demonstrations using real-world cases, seamlessly integrating cutting-edge theory with practical skills. Participants observed each procedure with rapt attention, diligently noting key points. During interactive Q&A sessions, questions flowed freely amid lively exchanges. Experts personally demonstrated operational procedures, providing in-depth analysis and modeling at critical junctures. This “zero-distance” interaction greatly ignited participants' enthusiasm for learning, truly achieving the collision of ideas through exchange and the consolidation of learning through hands-on practice. It effectively promoted deep integration and cross-disciplinary communication.

To innovate learning formats and consolidate conference outcomes, a skills and knowledge competition was specially organized on the morning of the 31st. Multiple senior experts served as judges for the competition. The contest content closely integrated the knowledge points from the conference lectures with clinical practice skills. The atmosphere on site was intense and lively, with spectacular performances. This segment effectively stimulated the learning enthusiasm and sense of participation among the attendees, achieving the goal of promoting learning and practice through competition. It served as a vivid test and effective elevation of the theoretical learning outcomes, receiving unanimous praise from the participants.

This conference delivered comprehensive content with equal emphasis on theory and practice. It not only updated participants' knowledge systems but also provided a high-level learning and exchange platform for anesthesia and perioperative medicine professionals in the region. Accordingly, the conference played a positive role in promoting the standardized application of new technologies, enhancing perioperative safety management, and advancing the high-quality development of the discipline.
