Formal: In response to the aging trend, to promote the concept and clinical practice of scientific and standardized hospice care, to strengthen comprehensive care concept and skills of clinical nursing staff for terminal patients, and to push the clinical practice towards precision and humanization, the Hospice Care Academic Conference and Advanced Training Class on Frontiers of Hospice Care under the Background of Active Aging, jointly organized by the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and Chengdu Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital and hosted by the Hospice Care Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, was successfully held in Chengdu on July 11.

At the opening ceremony the conference, Professor Liu Menjie, director of the Hospice Care Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, presided over the event. Ai He, president and deputy secretary-general of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, and Yang Xiao, member of the Party group and vice president of Chengdu Traditional Chinese and Medicine Hospital, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Subsequently, the conference kicked off with wonderful sharing from well-known experts from the Chuan-Chong area. The elaborated and discussed the current situation and practice of geriatric hospice care, new models, and new paths from various perspectives, exploring the new development and new ideas of the industry together with the participants.

Hospice care is not only a branch of medicine but also a profound respect for life. The convening of this conference has injected new imus into the development of hospice care. Through innovative service model exploration and clinical practice exchanges, it has promoted the iteration and upgrade of disciplinary theory and technical methods. These achievements will improve the quality of life of terminal patients, enable more families to enjoy medical care that is warm and dignified, and also provide replicable practice models for primary medical institutions to carry hospice care services, which is of great significance for promoting high-quality development of the entire industry.
