Following the successful first session that garnered widespread attention, the second installment of the "Interdisciplinary Joint Symposium on Metabolic Syndrome and Diabetes" hosted by Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association was successfully held online on September 24th, 2025.
Centered on the theme "From Mechanism to Clinical Practice: New Strategies for Precision Intervention in Metabolic Diseases," this symposium deepened interdisciplinary dialogue and attracted nearly experts, scholars, and clinicians from major hospitals and research institutions across China.
The event fostered a vibrant academic atmosphere with fruitful exchanges of insights.
The first session laid a solid foundation for the integration of basic research and clinical application, while the second session further focused on "Interpretation of the 'China Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Diabetes in the Elderly (2024 Edition)' and the Application of Insulin in Elderly Diabetic Patients".
The conference invited several renowned domestic experts in the fields of basic research and clinical treatment of metabolic diseases to deliver keynote reports and participate in discussions.
The successful convening of this conference marks another significant step in advancing the "research-clinical" bidirectional collaboration in the field of metabolism through this series of symposiums.
It successfully bridges abstract laboratory data with concrete patient treatment protocols, enabling researchers to better understand clinical needs while allowing clinicians to gain deeper insights into the scientific logic behind diseases.
It is reported that the next two sessions of this seminar series will be held online on September 26 and September 29 respectively, focusing on in-depth discussions around themes such as "Prevention and Treatment of Diabetic Foot Diseases" and "Interpretation of Expert Consensus on Chinese Diabetes Subtyping Diagnosis".
