In accordance with the requirement to "improve the standardized prevention rate of venous thromboembolism (VTE)" outlined in the "Notice on the 2025 National Medical Quality and Safety Improvement Targets" issued by the General Office of the National Health Commission, and to further promote intra-hospital VTE prevention and control within the region, the "Sichuan Province Yi Region Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) Prevention and Treatment Training Session," jointly organized by the Leshan Intra-hospital VTE Prevention and Control Quality Control Center and the Chengdu High-tech Zone Medical Association, was successfully conducted online on October 25, 2025. This training session focused on core issues related to VTE prevention and treatment in the Yi region of Sichuan Province.
The session aimed to comprehensively enhance the VTE prevention and treatment capabilities of medical institutions in the Yi region. Through systematic training, it sought to strengthen grassroots medical personnel's mastery of VTE risk assessment, early diagnosis, standardized treatment, and prevention strategies, thereby effectively reducing the incidence and mortality rates of VTE in the Yi region. Additionally, by aligning with the actual medical needs and regional characteristics of the Yi region, the session promoted the balanced distribution of prevention and treatment resources and the widespread application of suitable technologies. This will help establish a comprehensive prevention and treatment system covering screening, intervention, and follow-up, effectively safeguarding the health and lives, and providing strong support for consolidating the achievements in poverty alleviation and promoting the high-quality development of healthcare in ethnic regions.
