With the rapid advancement of medical imaging technology, low-dose CT (LDCT) plays an increasingly important role in the screening, diagnosis, follow-up, and efficacy evaluation of chest diseases. Significant progress has been made, particularly in areas such as early lung cancer screening, pulmonary nodule management, infectious disease assessment, and chronic lung disease monitoring. To promote the standardized application and quality control of LDCT technology, enhance the diagnosis and treatment level of related diseases, and strengthen academic exchange, the conference "Advances in the Application of Low-Dose CT in Chest Diseases and Quality Control," organized by the Chengdu High-tech Zone Medical Association, was successfully held from October 25th to 26th, 2025, in the Aksu Prefecture of Xinjiang.

This conference aimed to conduct in-depth discussions on the latest developments in the application of low-dose CT for pulmonary nodule screening, early lung cancer detection, and chronic airway disease assessment. It also focused on key aspects such as optimizing scanning protocols, improving image quality, and radiation dose control, thereby promoting the establishment of a scientific and standardized quality control system. Through such exchanges and discussions, the conference not only helped improve the understanding and application level of low-dose CT technology across medical institutions at all levels and facilitated the dissemination and promotion of new knowledge and methods but also enhanced the overall accuracy and consistency of imaging diagnosis for chest diseases. This effectively mitigates clinical risks arising from variations in technical operations or image interpretation, ultimately benefiting a broad patient population with safer and more precise medical services.
