The integrated traditional Chinese and Western Medicine weight management Training course for obese and Diabetic patients and the Fifth Academic Annual Conference of the Endocrinology Specialized Committee, hosted by the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and Chengdu Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, and organized by the Endocrinology Specialized Committee of the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, was held in Chengdu on September 6, 2025. To further enhance the comprehensive management level of obesity and metabolic diseases, build a high-quality academic exchange platform, and facilitate the integration of the latest research achievements in the field of obesity prevention and treatment as well as the optimization of clinical management strategies for related metabolic diseases. The successful holding of this integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine weight management training course for obese and diabetic patients and the fifth academic annual meeting of the Endocrinology Specialized Committee marks a crucial step forward in the academic construction of the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association in the field of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine prevention and treatment of obesity and metabolic diseases. In the future, the Endocrinology Specialized Committee will, through continuous academic discussions, the promotion of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine weight management techniques, and the integration of multi-disciplinary resources, assist primary medical institutions in enhancing their capacity to prevent and treat obesity-related metabolic complications, promote the application of research results on the pathogenesis of obesity and the management of metabolic complications in clinical diagnosis and treatment, and ultimately benefit a large number of obese and diabetic patients.
