The "Congress of the Professional Committee on Brain Injury and Consciousness Disorders, First Academic Conference, and First Western Conference on Consciousness Disorders," hosted by the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association and co-organized by West China Hospital of Sichuan University and Shangjin Hospital of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, was successfully held in Chengdu from November 21 to 22, 2025.

The conference passed the deliberation and democratically elected the leadership team of the chairman, vice chairman, and executive committee of the special committee. Professor Guan Junwen from West China Hospital of Sichuan University was elected as the Chairman of the Special Committee. At the meeting, the approval for the establishment of the working group of the Brain Injury and Consciousness Disorders Professional Committee was also read out. Among the 59 party members of the committee, after recommendation and discussion, the party branch of the society agreed to form a functional party group of the committee, consisting of three comrades: Xia Xun, Li Yonghong, and Jing Xiaofan. Comrade Xia Xun served as the leader of the working group, Comrade Li Yonghong was responsible for disciplinary inspection and organizational work, and Comrade Jing Xiaofan was responsible for propaganda work. At the meeting, Comrade Xia Xun led all members to study the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
