To address the operational application challenges such as cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization, and further provide authoritative disinfection technical support for medical institutions, ensuring the quality and safety of disinfection supply in grassroots medical institutions. The Founding Conference of the Disinfection Supply Professional Committee and the First Academic Conference, jointly organized by the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and the Seventh People's Hospital of Chengdu, was successfully held in Chengdu on September 19, 2025. More than 150 experts and scholars from the disinfection supply field both within and outside the region gathered together to look forward to the vigorous development of academic exchanges in the future.

The conference, through deliberation, democratically elected the chairperson, vice-chairpersons and standing committee members of the professional committee. Professor Zeng Shurong from West China Hospital of Stomatology, Sichuan University, serves as the honorary chairperson of the professional committee, and Professor Liu Tun from Chengdu Seventh People's Hospital was elected as the chairperson of the professional committee. Professor Yi Jianping from the First Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu Medical College, Professor Yang Jingjing from the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University, Professor He Jian from the First People's Hospital of Chengdu, Professor Meng Yu from the People's Hospital of Tianfu New Area, Sichuan Province, Professor Zhao Chun from the First People's Hospital of Longquanyi District, Chengdu, Professor Jiang Biju from the People's Hospital of Jianyang City, and Professor Li Shuangyu from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University were elected as deputy chairpersons of the professional committee .

At the meeting, the approval for the establishment of the Party Working Group of the Disinfection Supply Professional Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association was read out. Among the 32 Party members of the professional committee, after recommendation and discussion, the society agreed that Yang Jingjing, Han Yan and MAO Yuan would form the Party Working group of the professional committee. Among them, Yang Jingjing would serve as the group leader, and Han Yan would be responsible for discipline inspection and organizational work. Comrade MAO Yuan is in charge of publicity work. At the meeting, Comrade Zeng Shurong led all the committee members to study the Party lesson.  After the founding conference, the academic conference officially kicked off. Professor Ai He, Vice President and deputy secretary-general of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, and Vice President Tao LAN of Chengdu Seventh People's Hospital attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

The conference specially invited several renowned experts in the fields of infection control and disinfection supply to give special lectures. Experts delivered detailed and insightful academic reports on cutting-edge hotspots and practical difficulties such as the quality management and evaluation norms of disinfection supply, quality awareness, and the quality management and innovation of disinfection supply.

The academic atmosphere at the venue was intense. The attendees listened attentively, asked questions enthusiastically, and engaged in in-depth and lively exchanges and discussions with the speakers. The sparks of thought collide here, and the seeds of wisdom are sown here. Everyone expressed that the content of this academic conference was practical and highly instructive, providing valuable theoretical basis and practical guidance for future clinical practice and work innovation. The complete success of this conference marks a brand-new stage of development for the disinfection supply industry in the region. The newly established professional committee is bound to become an important engine for gathering professional strength and promoting the development of the discipline. Together with all the committee members and colleagues, we will jointly open a new chapter of high-quality development in the disinfection supply profession!
