To further advance academic research and development in pancreatic diseases, promote in-depth exchanges and collaboration in the multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment (MDT) model for pancreatic cancer, jointly explore and address current challenges in clinical practice, and drive the renewal of diagnostic and therapeutic concepts and the dissemination of technologies for pancreatic diseases, the "2025 Academic Conference of the Pancreatic Diseases Committee and the Year-End Summary Meeting of West China Pancreatic Cancer MDT" was successfully held in Chengdu on December 20, 2025. The event was jointly organized by the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and the Sichuan Medical Care Integration Scientific Research Association, and co-hosted by the Pancreatic Diseases Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, the Pancreatic Surgery Department and Abdominal Oncology Department of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, and Huaxi Shangjin Nanfu Hospital.
The conference was chaired by Professors Yongsu Ma, Jianjun Leng, Hanteng Yang, Bole Tian, and Dan Cao, with Professors Yi Zhang and Chunlu Tan serving as executive chairs. Multiple authoritative experts in the field presided over the event. Scholars and specialists in pancreatic diseases from across the country gathered in Chengdu to explore cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic approaches from multidisciplinary perspectives, injecting strong momentum into the standardization and precision of pancreatic disease management.
During the opening ceremony, Professors Yongsu Ma, Jianjun Leng, Hanteng Yang, Bole Tian, and Dan Cao delivered speeches, unanimously emphasizing the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in the field of pancreatic disease diagnosis and treatment. They expressed high hopes for the conference, encouraging participants to seize this opportunity to share clinical experiences, exchange academic ideas, and jointly tackle diagnostic and therapeutic challenges, so that cutting-edge technologies and standardized treatments can benefit more patients.
The academic session featured numerous highlights. Professor Li Wang from West China Hospital of Sichuan University presented the "Year-End Summary Report of West China Hospital Pancreatic Cancer MDT," offering valuable practical insights for the industry. Subsequently, expert teams from Peking University First Hospital, Lanzhou University Second Hospital, Peking University Shougang Hospital, West China Hospital of Sichuan University, and other institutions shared in-depth insights on pancreatic diseases. During the exchange and discussion session, several leading experts served as commentators, providing precise feedback on the presentations and fostering a vibrant academic atmosphere. Young scholars engaged in enthusiastic interactions, showcasing the academic vitality and innovative thinking of the younger generation in the field of pancreatic diseases.
At the conclusion of the conference, Professor Bole Tian delivered a closing speech, highly commending the academic quality and exchange outcomes of the event. She noted that the conference brought together multidisciplinary expertise, establishing an efficient communication bridge for the field of pancreatic disease diagnosis and treatment. Moving forward, it is essential to continue deepening the multidisciplinary collaboration mechanism, promote the iteration and upgrading of diagnostic and therapeutic concepts and technologies, and provide higher-quality medical services to patients. The successful hosting of this conference further consolidated the multidisciplinary collaboration consensus in the field of pancreatic diseases and facilitated the sharing and integration of high-quality medical resources. Looking ahead, the Pancreatic Diseases Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association will continue to serve as a platform and bridge, fostering academic exchanges and technological dissemination, and contributing to the advancement of pancreatic disease diagnosis and treatment in China.
