In response to the national policy orientation of promoting multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment (MDT) models and enhancing the diagnostic and therapeutic standards for complex and difficult diseases, and to facilitate the modernization of regional medical services from a "disease-centered" to a "patient-centered" approach, the "Multidimensional Collaboration·Forward with Perseverance" - "Ruiqi New Era·MDT Exchange Conference," organized by the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association, will hold its first to fourth sessions in January 2026. The conference will gather experts and scholars from multiple medical institutions across the province and beyond, who will engage in online collaboration to explore innovative applications and development prospects of multidisciplinary collaboration in clinical practice.   The conference aims to establish an interdisciplinary and cross-regional academic exchange platform, promote the standardized application of MDT in the diagnosis and treatment of complex and difficult diseases, effectively enhance the collaborative capabilities and overall level of regional medical services, and enable advanced diagnostic and therapeutic concepts and technologies to better benefit a wide range of patients.The content covers multiple hot topics including comprehensive cancer treatment, management of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and whole-course care for chronic diseases.The participating experts conducted in-depth discussions on how to break down disciplinary barriers and optimize the diagnostic and treatment process.The multidisciplinary collaboration model effectively integrates resources from various fields, including internal medicine, surgery, imaging, pathology, nutrition, rehabilitation, and even traditional Chinese medicine, to develop more personalized and precise treatment plans for patients.This model not only improves the accuracy of initial diagnosis but also significantly reduces patient travel, vividly embodying the patient-centered service philosophy.The meeting emphasized that future efforts will leverage this exchange session as an opportunity to further promote the decentralization of high-quality medical resources. By relying on the development of urban medical groups and county-level medical consortia, the standardized MDT model will be extended to primary care settings.By conducting regular case discussions, academic lectures, and collaborative talent development programs, the disparities in diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities within the region are progressively narrowed, enabling more patients with complex and refractory diseases to access high-quality, multidimensional integrated medical services at their local level.   With the successful conclusion of the fourth session of the "Ruiqi New Era-Multidisciplinary Diagnosis and Treatment Exchange Conference", the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and its member units will further summarize their experiences, continue to explore new mechanisms and approaches for multidisciplinary collaboration, and with the posture of "multidimensional synergy" and the practice of "steadfast progress", contribute more strength to advancing the construction of a healthy China and enhancing the health and well-being of the people.
