To further promote the standardized development of simulation medicine, advance the construction of the medical simulation education system, and enhance the quality of teaching, the “2nd Inaugural Election Conference of the Simulation Medicine Professional Committee of the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association and the Training Course on Innovation and Practice in Medical Simulation Education,” jointly organized by the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association and Chengdu First People’s Hospital and hosted by the Simulation Medicine Professional Committee of the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association, was successfully held in Chengdu on March 12–13, 2026.
Election Convention
On March 12, the Second General Election Meeting of the Simulation Medicine Professional Committee of the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association was successfully held. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association Charter and the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association Academic Organization Management Measures, and with the approval of the Association’s Secretariat, the election was conducted in strict compliance with the established organizational procedures and requirements.
The meeting reported on the recommendations and qualification review reports for 102 committee candidate members, and through democratic elections, the leadership team of the Second Specialized Committee was elected. Professor Yang Xiao from Chengdu First People’s Hospital was elected as the Chairperson of the Second Specialized Committee. Professor Chen Weiyong from Chengdu Seventh People’s Hospital, Professor Huang Xiaofang from Chengdu Fifth People’s Hospital, Professor Li Xuepei of Chengdu First People’s Hospital, Professor Mi Yongjie of Chengdu Medical College, Professor Mou Eixian of Sichuan Cancer Hospital, Professor Pu Xia of the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University, Professor Ren Li of West China Second University Hospital of Sichuan University, Professor Wang Chunying of the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University, Professor Wu Ying of Chengdu Women and Children’s Center Hospital, Professor Yang Bin of Chengdu Second People’s Hospital, and Professor Zhou Jiang of Chengdu Third People’s Hospital were elected as Vice Chairpersons (listed in alphabetical order by the first letter of their surnames).

At the meeting, a proposal to establish a functional Party group under the Second Specialized Committee on Simulated Medicine was read aloud. Among the 67 Party members of the Specialized Committee, following recommendations and discussions by the preparatory group, all committee members agreed to form the functional Party group of the Specialized Committee comprising Comrades Yang Xiao, Wang Chunying, and Wu Ying. Among them, Comrade Yang Xiao will serve as the group leader, Comrade Wang Chunying will be responsible for discipline inspection and organizational work, and Comrade Wu Ying will be responsible for publicity work. Comrade Li Xuepei, a member of the Party group, led all committee members in a Party lecture.
Academic Conference
On March 13, the “Training Course on Innovation and Practice in Medical Simulation Education” kicked off under the chairmanship of Professor Yang Xiao, Chair of the Specialized Committee of the Chinese Society of Medical Simulation. The conference invited Zeng Fang, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine; Bai Lanbin, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Chengdu Municipal Health Commission; Chen Zejun, Party Secretary of Chengdu Hospital of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine; Li Chao, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Chengdu Hospital of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine; and Ai He, Vice President and Deputy Secretary-General of the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association, to attend and deliver opening remarks. They extended warm congratulations on the establishment of the Specialized Committee on Simulation Medicine and expressed their hope that the committee would leverage the platform of the High-Tech Medical Association to promote the application of simulation medicine in medical education, clinical skills training, and healthcare quality and safety, thereby contributing to the cultivation of regional medical talent. At the same time, they encouraged the attending experts to engage in in-depth exchanges to jointly advance the development of simulation medicine and wished the conference every success.

The conference invited experts in the field of simulation medicine from both China and abroad to deliver insightful lectures. The presentations were rich in content and practical in application, covering multiple key areas of simulation medicine—ranging from the integration of CRM with simulation training in maternal and child health, and the application of simulation in the management of Traditional Chinese Medicine education, to low-cost simulation teaching solutions and standardized practical skills training for resident physicians, as well as the design and implementation of high-fidelity scenario-based simulation courses and techniques for medical mini-lectures. The sessions featured both discussions on cutting-edge concepts and the optimization of teaching strategies. The experts’ presentations not only provided valuable teaching insights but also exemplified the core principles of “innovation, integration, standardization, and sharing” in simulation-based medical education. They offered attendees practical teaching solutions to draw upon, making the event a true academic gathering that balanced theory and practice.
