Chengdu High-tech Zone launches special inspections on corporate dust hazards

In order to implement the requirements of the "Occupational Disease Prevention Law" and the "Chengdu Occupational Disease Prevention and Control Plan (2017-2020)", standardize the special treatment of dust hazards and occupational health management in the mining, metallurgy, and chemical industries, and effectively control and eliminate dust hazards , To effectively protect the occupational health rights and interests of workers. Entrusted by the Bureau of Education, Culture and Health of the High-tech Zone, the Medical Quality Control Management Service Center of Chengdu High-tech Zone organized relevant provincial and municipal experts to conduct special inspection, evaluation and acceptance of 6 relevant units in the high-tech zone on September 29.

The assessment and inspection focused on key occupational diseases, key occupational disease hazards, and prevention of mass occupational hazard accidents. Four experts from Sichuan Center for Disease Control and Prevention Qiu Leping, Shen Yuehua, and Chengdu Center for Disease Control and Prevention Yang Fei, and Gao Yuan were specially invited to form an inspection team. Health supervision and law enforcement officers and leaders of the Health Department of the High-tech Zone participated in the supervision work throughout the process.

During the inspection process, experts inspected the 6 institutions by checking the site, consulting materials, and interviewing personnel, and conducted a summary analysis of the dust prevention and control status of the enterprises after the treatment. At the same time, urge all units to register and use the "Chengdu Occupational Health Pre-control Service System" to simultaneously complete the occupational health infrastructure and meet the standards, and encourage enterprises with good governance effects and promotion and replication significance to actively create occupational health demonstration units.

 By carrying out the acceptance work of this special governance inspection, the inspection team has a better grasp of the development of the previous special governance work. It provides a reference for the development of relevant policies for the special treatment of dust hazards and occupational health management in the mining, metallurgy, and chemical industries in the later stage of the high-tech zone.
