In recent years, the incidence of myopia in children and adolescents in my country has been increasing and tending to be younger. In order to prevent and control myopia and eye health in children and adolescents, on November 12, 2020, Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, Zhonghe Community Health Service Center, and Chengdu Huaxia Eye Hospital jointly held a health knowledge lecture on "Knowing Our Eyes and Children’s Myopia Prevention" at The middle and primary schools in Chengdu High-tech Zone were held successfully. Nearly 50 children attended the lecture.

This lecture was taught by Dr. Zhao Wei from Chengdu Huaxia Eye Hospital. Teacher Zhao explained the structure of the eyes, the causes of myopia, the hazards of myopia and how to prevent myopia in vivid and interesting language. The children at the scene listened carefully and responded actively to the questions raised by the teacher.

This lecture popularized the knowledge of myopia prevention and health care for children, improved the school's awareness of myopia prevention and control, and also played a role in promoting myopia prevention and control for children and adolescents.
