In order to improve the level of medical treatment, scientific research and teaching in the field of vascular surgery, and promote the standardization and individualized treatment of related diseases, Chengdu High-tech Medical Association held the inaugural meeting of Vascular Surgery Professional Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association in Chengdu on the afternoon of April 16th, 2021.

The meeting was chaired by Zhou Yueqiao, head of the Organization Department of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association. Professor Wang Liang from Chengdu First People's Hospital and 70 vascular surgeons from major hospitals in Sichuan Province attended the inaugural meeting of the First Vascular Surgery Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association. Ai He, Deputy Secretary General of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association attended the meeting and made a speech.

Through deliberation, the congress democratically elected the standing committee, vice-chairmen, chairmen and chairman-designate of the special committee. Professor Wang Liang from Chengdu First People's Hospital was elected as the chairman, Professor Wang Jiantao from Xichang People's Hospital, Professor Huang Jiexiu from Jianyang People's Hospital, Professor Liu Wujun from Baoshihua Hospital, Professor Yue Yanhong from Meishan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, and Professor Chen Shangfeng from Tianfu New District People's Hospital were elected as the deputy chairman. After the inaugural meeting, the first academic meeting of the special committee was held.

The successful convening of the inaugural meeting of the Vascular Surgery Committee marks the vigorous development of the academic organization of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, and will play a significant role in promoting the improvement of the medical, scientific research and teaching level in the field of vascular surgery. I sincerely hope that the Vascular Surgery Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association will play a leading role in the work of "strengthening the grassroots and promoting transformation", actively explore a new mode of transformation of medical and industrial cross-integration of scientific and technological achievements, actively promote the collaborative innovation and development of regional medical specialty and biomedical industry, and make new contributions to the development of health undertakings.
