In order to promote the development of respiratory disciplines and academic exchanges related to respiratory diseases in the region, guide, organize, develop and strengthen the team of respiratory physicians. On April 2nd, 2021, Chengdu High-tech Medical Association organized and held the Preparatory Meeting of Respiratory Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association in the conference room on the second floor of the society.

Director Chen Yunfeng (postdoctoral fellow), leader of the preparatory group of the respiratory committee, and 17 experts and professors from Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Chengdu Second People's Hospital and Chengdu Third People's Hospital attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Zhou Yueqiao, Director of the Member and Organization Management Department of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association. Zeng Bin, Secretary General of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, Ai He, Deputy Secretary General of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, and Xin Juan, Minister of Academic Conference Affairs Department attended the meeting.

First of all, Ai He, deputy secretary-general of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, read out the approval of the establishment of the special committee. Chen Yunfeng, director of the First People's Hospital of Chengdu, the initiator of the special committee, gave a detailed introduction to the participants about the preparatory situation and establishment background of the special committee. The meeting also decided on the establishment date of the special committee and the holding of the academic conference.

At the end of the meeting, Zeng Bin, Secretary General of Chengdu Hi-tech Medical Association, made a concluding speech. Zeng stressed that:

First, with the development of economy and society, respiratory disease has become a common disease with high incidence. It is very necessary to set up a respiratory special committee, carry out relevant academic exchanges, promote the construction and development of disciplines, and enhance the transformation of scientific and technological innovation achievements of disciplines.

Second, Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, as an academic exchange platform for medical workers, should give full play to its role as a bridge and link, and strongly support the establishment of the Respiratory Committee.

Third, I hope that after the establishment of the respiratory committee, all the experts will closely unite and jointly develop and promote the work of the committee, so as to achieve the academic principle of "letting a hundred flowers bloom and a hundred schools of thought contend" and make the committee better.

Fourth, relying on the special committee to jointly undertake the important task for promoting the construction of respiratory discipline, make contributions, practice the working concept of "strengthening the grassroots and promoting transformation" of the society, actively innovate, do scientific research, base on Chengdu, radiate to the whole Sichuan, and open up a new situation for the work of the special committee of respiratory science under the leadership of all experts.
