In order to further deepen our understanding of the current situation and prospects of tumor applications, comprehensively grasp the latest developments in malignant tumor radiotherapy, surgical treatment, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and tumor nutrition, the "First Election Conference and Academic Annual Meeting of the Oncology Professional Committee of Chengdu High tech Medical Association and the Large scale Free Clinic Activity for Sending Doctors to the Grassroots" jointly organized by Chengdu High tech Medical Association and Chengdu First People's Hospital was successfully held in Chengdu from March 1 to March 2, 2024.

01 Free Clinic Activity

 On the afternoon of March 1, 2024, the "Joint Large scale Free Clinic for Grassroots Tumor Prevention and Treatment under Medical Delivery" was successfully held at 222 Dayuan Street, Dayuan Community, Guixi Street, High tech Zone, jointly organized by Chengdu High tech Medical Association and Guixi Community Health Service Center of Chengdu High tech Zone, and jointly organized by the Oncology Professional Committee of Chengdu High tech Medical Association and the Tumor Intervention Minimally Invasive Professional Committee of Chengdu High tech Medical Association. Professor Duan Ping and Professor Jia Yuming from the Oncology Professional Committee of Chengdu High tech Medical Association joined hands with the attending physicians of Lai Jing, Luo Ting, Yue Yuanyuan, Zhang Rui, Wu Dan, Zhang Jiali, and Wei Jie from the First People's Hospital of Chengdu to participate in this free consultation activity.

 During the event, experts not only provided detailed consultation services to the public, but also conducted lectures and training on tumor prevention and treatment knowledge based on the actual situation of grassroots medical institutions, improving the diagnosis and treatment level of grassroots medical personnel. 02 Science popularization activities

 In order to enhance public awareness of cancer diseases and enhance cancer prevention awareness, the Oncology Professional Committee of Chengdu High tech Medical Association launched an online popularization of cancer prevention and treatment knowledge campaign on the evening of March 1, 2024.

 In online activities, oncology experts promote basic knowledge of cancer, prevention measures, early screening methods, and treatment methods to the public through live broadcasts, videos, and other forms. At the same time, it also interacts with netizens through social media platforms, answers questions, and provides personalized health advice.

03 General Election Conference

 88 people from 55 medical institutions both inside and outside the province participated in the first election of the Oncology Professional Committee on March 2, 2024. The conference passed deliberation and democratically elected a leadership team consisting of the chairman, alternate chairman, vice chairman, and executive committee members of the special committee. Director Duan Ping of Chengdu First People's Hospital was elected as the chairman of the special committee, Director Peng Xiaodong of Chengdu Second People's Hospital was elected as the alternate chairman of the special committee, Professor Zhou Lin from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Professor Lv Jiahua from Sichuan Cancer Hospital, Professor He Lang from Chengdu Fifth People's Hospital, Professor Li Zhengguang from Chengdu Seventh People's Hospital, Professor Xu Hongyu from General 363 Hospital, and Professor Jia Yuming from Yibin Second People's Hospital Professor Su Xianxu of Dujiangyan Irrigation Project People's Hospital was elected as the vice chairman of the special committee.

 Ai He, Vice President and Deputy Secretary General of Chengdu High tech Medical Association, attended the election ceremony and delivered a speech. He first expressed warm congratulations on the convening of the conference and pointed out the important significance of this conference in promoting the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of oncology. At the same time, he looks forward to the second Oncology Professional Committee of Chengdu High tech Medical Association providing better medical services and guarantees for cancer patients under the leadership of Chairman Duan Ping in the future. Subsequently, Vice President Ai He and Deputy Secretary General issued certificates to the former Chairman, elected Chairman, and alternate Chairman. Former Chairman Professor Ren Tao and current Chairman Professor Duan Ping issued appointment letters to the elected Vice Chairman.

  At the meeting, the functional party group of the 2nd Oncology Professional Committee of Chengdu High tech Medical Association was also established. Among the 56 party members of the committee, after recommendation and discussion, the association agreed to form a functional party group consisting of three comrades: Li Zhengguang, Ye Bin, and Shi Yuhui. Li Zhengguang served as the leader of the party's working group, Ye Bin was responsible for disciplinary inspection and organizational work, and Shi Yuhui was responsible for propaganda work.

04 Academic Conference

 The 2nd Academic Annual Meeting of the Oncology Professional Committee of Chengdu High tech Medical Association officially began on the morning of March 2, 2024. The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Professor Duan Ping, Chairman of the 2nd Oncology Professional Committee of Chengdu High tech Medical Association. Vice President Luo Jun of Chengdu First People's Hospital and Vice President and Deputy Secretary General Ai He of Chengdu High tech Medical Association attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

 During the conference, Professor Lv Jiahua from Sichuan Cancer Hospital, Professor Zhou Lin from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Professor Jia Yuming from Yibin Second People's Hospital, Professor Peng Xiaodong from Chengdu Second People's Hospital, Professor Xie Ke from Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, and Professor Xu Hongyu from Chengdu General 363 Hospital conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on the treatment methods, progress, and related guidelines for various types of cancer diseases.
