In order to promote the discipline construction of rehabilitation therapy, standardize the diagnosis and treatment behavior, and carry out the academic research and exchange of rehabilitation therapy at home and abroad. The “Inaugural Meeting and Academic Conference of the Specialized Committee of Rehabilitation Therapy of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association”, jointly organized by Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and Shangjin Hospital of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, was successfully held on September 21st in Chengdu.

More than 110 rehabilitation specialists from major hospitals in and outside the province attended the inaugural meeting of Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association Rehabilitation Therapy Specialized Committee. Xue Fan, Supervisor of Chengdu Hi-Tech Medical Association and Vice President of Shangjin Hospital of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, attended the inaugural meeting and awarded certificates of appointment to the elected chairpersons and chairperson-elect. Yang Lin, Chairman of the Specialized Committee of Rehabilitation Therapy of Chengdu Hi-Tech Medical Association, presented appointment certificates to the elected vice-chairmen.

At the meeting, read out the approval of the establishment of the Rehabilitation Therapy Specialized Committee Functional Party Group, in the Specialized Committee of 45 party comrades, after recommendation and discussion of the Society agreed to Yan Ziyan comrades, Comrade Xu Li, Comrade Shi Wei, three comrades to form the Specialized Committee Functional Party Group, of which Yan Ziyan comrades as the head of the working group, Comrade Xu Li is responsible for the discipline inspection and organization, Comrade Shi Wei is responsible for the work of the propaganda. On the morning of September 21, 2024, “Academic Conference of Rehabilitation Therapy Specialized Committee” was officially opened. The conference invites experts and scholars in the field of rehabilitation in the province to give wonderful lectures and exchange ideas on new concepts, new developments and new technologies in rehabilitation treatment technology. With the continuous progress of science and technology and the constant upgrading of medical equipment, the means of rehabilitation treatment have become increasingly rich and diversified, and the rehabilitation medicine workers have accumulated a wealth of experience and lessons through continuous exploration and innovation in clinical practice. These developments have not only improved the effect and quality of rehabilitation treatment, but also brought more benefits to patients. Three sessions were also set up in this meeting, in which on-site practical exercises were conducted on motor learning operation technique, scoliosis operation technique and MTT operation technique respectively. Teachers who participated in the practical exercises actively studied and practiced, combining theoretical knowledge with actual operation, and gained a deeper understanding of the patients' needs to provide them with personalized rehabilitation treatment plans.

The successful organization of this conference not only provides a platform for rehabilitation medicine practitioners to exchange learning and share experience, but also makes a positive contribution to the promotion of the development of rehabilitation medicine.
