Hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and hyperglycemia have become common and frequently occurring diseases in medicine, characterized by a wide range of onset and prolonged treatment periods. The number of patients with related metabolic syndromes continues to rise annually, with an increasingly younger demographic affected. Particularly in underdeveloped and impoverished regions, where living conditions play a significant role, these diseases are more prevalent. The high cost of treatment, disease recurrence, and prolonged illness progression have sounded an alarm for both public health and socioeconomic development.
To further enhance regional diagnostic and treatment capabilities for metabolic syndromes and strengthen healthcare professionals' understanding of chronic metabolic diseases, the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association has decided to hold the Symposium on Dyslipidemia, Hyperglycemia, and Hypertension from a Population-Wide Perspective: Management and Challenges of Comorbidities (First Session) online on January 25, 2025. The conference will invite leading experts in related fields to deliver lectures and facilitate discussions on classic clinical cases and cutting-edge technologies.
This conference focuses on the management of comorbidities from a population-wide perspective, aiming to foster interdisciplinary and multi-level academic exchanges that deepen the medical community’s understanding of the complexities of metabolic comorbidities. It seeks to promote innovation and integration in diagnostic and treatment approaches, explore more effective comprehensive prevention and control strategies, and provide theoretical support and practical guidance for building a more robust chronic disease management system. Additionally, the conference serves as an academic growth platform for young scholars, stimulating research innovation and contributing to the implementation of the Healthy China strategy, ultimately advancing the goal of improving national health.
