With societal aging and lifestyle changes, dyslipidemia, hyperglycemia, and hypertension have become major chronic diseases affecting population-wide health. The increasing prevalence of their comorbidities poses significant challenges to individual patient health and public healthcare systems. Hosted by the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association, the second session of this conference series was held online on February 15, 2025. It brought together experts and scholars from clinical medicine, basic research, public health, and health management to delve into innovative approaches for understanding the pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention strategies of these comorbidities.
This conference not only focused on the clinical management of the diseases themselves but also emphasized a population-wide health perspective, exploring ways to integrate medical resources and optimize prevention and treatment systems to address the multifaceted challenges posed by overlapping chronic conditions. By sharing cutting-edge research, exchanging clinical experiences, and analyzing representative cases, the conference aimed to foster multidisciplinary collaboration, advance the shift from individualized treatment to population health management, and provide theoretical and practical guidance for improving China's comprehensive chronic disease prevention and control capabilities. Ultimately, the goal is to reduce the burden of comorbidities, enhance patients' quality of life, and achieve cost-saving benefits for the healthcare system.
