Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a significant public health issue in China, with renal anemia being a common complication. This condition not only accelerates the progression of the disease but also significantly increases the risk of cardiovascular events and mortality for patients.  To enhance the standardized diagnosis and treatment of renal anemia among nephrologists and to promote the clinical application of the latest academic achievements, the 'New Advances in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Renal Anemia Conference' was recently successfully held, organized by the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association.

The conference brought together leading experts in the field of nephrology to discuss the current status of renal anemia diagnosis and treatment, strategies for optimizing treatment, and approaches to improving long-term patient outcomes.  The experts agreed that the treatment of renal anemia should be tailored to the distribution of medical resources in China, with a focus on developing tiered diagnostic and treatment plans.  The conference aimed to promote the implementation of Chinese-characteristic management consensus for renal anemia through multidisciplinary exchanges.  By fostering academic exchanges, professional development, digital applications, international cooperation, and clinical translation, the conference provided a platform for collaboration among scholars, doctors, and enterprises, helping to standardize diagnostic and treatment procedures, improve diagnostic and treatment levels, and ultimately benefit patients and public health.
