
On April 19, 2025, the Colorectal Cancer Specialized Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, in collaboration with the Health and Medical Big Data Specialized Committee of Sichuan Health Information Society and the Exchange Meeting of the Multi-center Colorectal Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Database Construction Project in Sichuan Province, successfully held a series of academic activities at the main campus of Zigong First People's Hospital.
This event saw experts from institutions such as the Sichuan Provincial Health and Wellness Information Center and West China Hospital of Sichuan University gather together. It kicked off with the opening remarks by Vice President Leng Wei of Zigong First People's Hospital.
At this event, Minister Deng Ren of the Sichuan Provincial Health and Wellness Information Center shared the application of health and medical big data resources in Sichuan Province. Professor Wang Xiaodong, the director of the Colorectal Cancer Specialized Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, elaborated on the multi-center colorectal cancer database construction project in Sichuan Province and the application of digital management and hierarchical diagnosis and treatment for colorectal cancer. Director Li You of Zigong First People's Hospital introduced the business and research situation of the general surgery department of the hospital. Professor Wang Liya from West China Hospital of Sichuan University analyzed key contents such as the technical path of database construction and the application model of scientific research. During the free discussion session and after the event, all participants engaged in a lively exchange on the construction of colorectal cancer databases and the issue of hierarchical medical treatment.
This event focused on core contents such as the standardization construction of specialized databases for colorectal cancer. Through the wonderful sharing and in-depth exchanges of experts, it deepened data sharing and the application of intelligent technologies, provided ideas for the construction of multi-center colorectal cancer databases across regions, and injected new impetus into the comprehensive digitalization of colorectal cancer in our province.
