On the morning of June 28th, the second term election meeting of the Tumor Radiotherapy Professional

 Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association was successfully held. In accordance with the relevant 

provisions of the "Charter of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association" and the "Management Measures for 

Academic Organizations of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association", and with the approval of the Secretariat

 of the association, the election for the new term will be carried out strictly in accordance with the organizational 

procedures and requirements for the election. The meeting reported on the recommendation status and 

qualification review reports of 81 candidates for committee members.

Professor Liu Taiguo from the Seventh People's Hospital of Chengdu was elected as the chairperson of the

 Second Specialized Committee on Tumor Radiotherapy. The elected vice chairpersons are: Professor Chen Yang

 from Jianyang People's Hospital, Professor Du Chi from Dujiangyan People's Hospital, Professor He Lang from

 Chengdu Fifth People's Hospital, Professor Ren Tao from the First Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu Medical 

College, Professor Xu Hongyu from General Medical 363rd Hospital, Professor Yu Xiaolin from Chengdu BOE

 Hospital, and Professor Zou Jinjin from Chengdu Seventh People's Hospital (in alphabetically order of their

 surnames). A total of 72 committee members participated in the election both online and offline. Comrade 

Xue Fan, the supervisor of the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, presented the appointment letter to 

the new chairperson and delivered a speech on behalf of the association.

Professor Liu Taiguo, the chairperson, said in his speech: "The cause of tumor radiotherapy is related to the life and health of patients and the happiness of millions of families. We shoulder not only a professional mission but also a heavy social responsibility." In recent years, the technology of tumor radiotherapy has made remarkable progress, which is inseparable from the efforts of every colleague in the industry. In the future, we will work together with the new members of the special committee to jointly face new challenges and continue to improve the overall level of tumor radiotherapy both within and outside the region.

Comrade Zhou Han, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Seventh People's Hospital of Chengdu, said in his speech at the conference that the prevention and treatment of tumors are related to the national economy and people's livelihood and are the core battlefield of the "Healthy China" strategy. Radiotherapy, as one of the "three horses" of comprehensive cancer treatment, is increasingly highlighting its precision and efficiency, and is a key force in improving the survival rate and quality of life of cancer patients. We hope that all colleagues will join hands and strive unremittingly to build a more standardized, efficient and high-quality tumor radiotherapy service system!

Finally, Comrade Xue Fan, the supervisor of the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, delivered a speech on behalf of the association. He first expressed his gratitude to all the experts of the special committee for their presence and stated that the society will surely build a good platform for academic exchange, scientific research and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements for all experts. Adhering to the working concept of "strengthening the grassroots and promoting transformation", it will provide all kinds of services. He hopes that all experts can fully communicate on this platform, give full play to their leading role and do more practical things. Contribute one's own strength to the healthy development of multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment techniques for liver, gallbladder and pancreas.

At the meeting, the second functional Party group of the Tumor Radiotherapy Specialized Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association was established. Among the 46 Party members of the specialized Committee, after recommendation and discussion, the Specialized committee unanimously agreed that three comrades from Chengdu Seventh People's Hospital, Liu Taiguo, Xu Hongyu and Zou Jinjin, would serve as members of the Party working group, with Liu Taiguo serving as the group leader. Comrade Xu Hongyu is in charge of discipline inspection and organizational work, while Comrade Zou Jinjin is responsible for publicity work. After the Party group was established, the special committee held a Party lesson study.
