With the advancement of medical research, the correlation between dermatological diseases and rheumatic immune disorders has attracted increasing attention. Extensive clinical practice has demonstrated that conditions such as psoriasis, lupus erythematosus, and dermatomyositis often manifest with combined cutaneous, articular, and systemic immunological involvement, making single-discipline diagnosis and treatment inadequate for comprehensive patient care. To promote multidisciplinary collaboration between dermatology and rheumatology specialties and explore innovative concepts, novel technologies, and clinical achievements in integrated therapy, the "Symposium on Integrated Dermatology and Rheumatology Therapy," hosted by the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association, was successfully convened online on July 24, 2025.
This conference aimed to enhance interdisciplinary cooperation between dermatology and rheumatology while advancing the development of integrated therapeutic approaches. By gathering insights from leading experts, the symposium facilitated in-depth discussions on disease mechanisms, cutting-edge treatment modalities, and multidisciplinary management strategies. These exchanges not only helped overcome specialty barriers and foster knowledge integration but also provided clinicians with novel diagnostic perspectives to improve the management of complex conditions. Furthermore, the event served as a bridge for scientific collaboration, accelerating the translation of fundamental research into clinical applications, ultimately benefiting patients through more precise and personalized treatment protocols. More than just an academic exchange platform, this symposium represented an active exploration of cross-disciplinary cooperation, laying a solid foundation for future progress in the field of dermatology-rheumatology comorbid conditions.
