With the widespread adoption of imaging technology, the use of contrast media has increased year by year. How to scientifically and effectively prevent, identify, and manage adverse reactions has become a crucial issue in ensuring patient safety and improving healthcare quality. To enhance medical professionals' response capabilities, establish standardized protocols, promote multidisciplinary collaboration, and drive continuous improvement in medical care, the "Standardized Management of Contrast Media Adverse Reactions—Zhaosu Station," organized by the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association, was successfully held in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on July 6, 2025.
This event aimed to improve the standardized management and emergency response capabilities of medical institutions in the Zhaosu region when dealing with contrast media adverse reactions during imaging examinations. The goal was to ensure that patients receive timely, scientific, and effective treatment in case of adverse reactions after contrast agent administration, thereby maximizing patient safety. While the use of contrast media has grown significantly alongside advancements in imaging technology, primary healthcare institutions still face challenges such as insufficient experience in adverse reaction recognition, severity assessment, and standardized management, as well as inconsistent protocols. Through a combination of theoretical lectures, case discussions, and simulation drills, this training helped Zhaosu’s medical teams master the latest domestic and international guidelines, optimize emergency procedures, and strengthen interdepartmental collaboration. Additionally, tailored emergency plans were developed based on local healthcare resources, ultimately reducing medical risks, improving service quality, and safeguarding the health of patients in Zhaosu and surrounding areas.
