On August 18, 2025, Professor Li Xiaojing, Chairman of the Rare Disease Special Committee of Chengdu High tech Medical Association, accompanied a team of experts to the First People's Hospital of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture to conduct special training before the evaluation of hemophilia center construction. This action is not only a vivid practice of the special committee's response to the national graded diagnosis and treatment strategy, but also a heartfelt responsibility to cross mountains and seas with medical warmth and safeguard the health of rare disease patients in ethnic areas.

Graded diagnosis and treatment take root, breaking through the encirclement in ethnic areas

In the process of accelerating the densification of the hemophilia prevention and control network in China, 176 medical institutions across the country have passed the central evaluation, and 12 institutions in Sichuan Province have taken the lead in breaking through. However, as a Yi ethnic settlement area, Liangshan Prefecture has long faced the dilemma of "difficult diagnosis, late treatment, and scattered management" in hemophilia diagnosis and treatment due to geographical environment and medical resources. Chairman Li Xiaojing stated that "the prevention and treatment of rare diseases is the 'last mile' of building a healthy China, and ethnic regions need to make precise efforts." During this training, the special committee used a "mentoring" model to help Liangshan Prefecture benchmark evaluation standards, improve the diagnosis and treatment system, and enable patients to receive standardized and homogeneous medical services at their doorstep.

Experts pour in their resources to solve difficult problems, MDT team refines and upgrades

At the training site, Professor Li Xiaojing meticulously dissected sparrows, from interpreting evaluation criteria to implementing international guidelines, from deducing emergency procedures to discussing typical medical cases, from optimizing multidisciplinary collaboration mechanisms to managing patient full cycle follow-up. She tackled the "hard bones" of hemophilia center construction one by one. She emphasized that the prevention and treatment of hemophilia requires breaking down disciplinary barriers and using MDT's' combination 'to break through the' limitations' of specialties. ”Team members brainstormed around the optimization of the rescue process, cross departmental collaboration difficulties, and other topics. Experts answered questions like a spring breeze, making attendees exclaim "suddenly enlightened".

Promoting Health through Evaluation, Striving for Long Term Development, and Working Together for Healthy Liangshan

This training is not only a transfer of technology, but also a relay of faith. The First People's Hospital of Liangshan Prefecture stated that it will take this guidance as an opportunity to integrate the resources of the entire hospital, optimize service processes, ensure the "dual wheel drive" of review "clearance" and capacity improvement, and set a benchmark for the prevention and control of rare diseases in ethnic areas. Professor Li Xiaojing, on behalf of the special committee, promises to continue providing "long-term, systematic, and precise" support to Liangshan Prefecture through remote consultations, regular retraining, talent incubation, and other means, enabling professional strength to overcome geographical limitations and safeguard the resilience and hope of every life.

Every step taken in the prevention and treatment of hemophilia in Liangshan Prefecture, from "mountains heavy and rivers heavy" to "willows dark and flowers bright", embodies the care of national policies, the responsibility of special committees, and the self-improvement of ethnic regions. The Rare Disease Special Committee of Chengdu High tech Medical Association will always adhere to the perseverance of "not abandoning small details and working for a long time", promote the sinking of high-quality medical resources, help the hierarchical diagnosis and treatment system take root in ethnic areas, and let the sunshine of "Healthy China" illuminate every corner.
